Java moss is a must have for all freshwater shrimp aquariums. Its many benefits to an aquarium lead to healthy shrimp which means more success when trying to breed shrimp. Java moss is also great for other freshwater tank inhabitants. You will receive one portion of Java Moss. Usually, this is around the size of a golf ball. Portion size will vary. Java Moss, like other aquarium plants, will help convert an aquarium into an ecosystem. Java moss will help reduce ammonia, nitrates and nitrites but its main benefit is in baby shrimp survival rates. Java moss provides great refuge for young shrimp and also increases the surface area in which shrimp can graze. It is reported that java moss is a great breeding ground for microorganisms which are essential to baby shrimp survival. On top of the many benefits, java moss is extremely easy to keep and propagate. Although it grows slow, once established it is hard to kill. Driftwood provides hiding spots and lowers pH slightly — great for Corydoras, Plecos, and shrimp. It also grows beneficial biofilm that Otocinclus and shrimp graze on.

Dwarf Hairgrass | Eleocharis Acicularis
Dwarf Hairgrass is a smaller version of the ever-popular Giant Hairgrass. Dwarf Hairgrass is a little more difficult and prefers co2 to carpet more fully. The best way to plant Dwarf Hairgrass is to separate it into a few clumps and plant it a few inches apart so as they grow they fill in areas in-between each clump. Scientific Name: Eleocharis sp. Ammannia Gracilis
Ammannia Gracilis is a beautiful red/pink plant that needs high lighting in order to survive. If you can provide Ammannia Gracilis with the right amount of light, co2, and nutrient rich substrate it will flourish. Ammannia Gracilis grows pretty fast, and you are able to propagate it by trimming the top and planting it. Bacopa Caroliniana
Bacopa Caroliniana is a super easy plant to grow and is great for any tank. Bacopa Caroliniana has much larger leaves than its close relative "Moneywort". Bacopa Caroliniana‘s leaves are a bit translucent, and depending on your lighting the leaves closest to the top may turn either a reddish or white color.
